Analysis of the Educational Models of Chilean State Universities: challenges of a diverse, non-sexist and anti-racist project.

RESUMEN

En el presente artículo se efectúa un análisis documental de tipo interpretativo, de los Modelos Educativos de dieciséis Universidades estatales chilenas, indagando en la existencia de aspectos que contribuyan a una formación profesional diversa, no sexista y antirracista, permitiendo tener una mirada común y diferenciada acerca de los fundamentos, las competencias genéricas y los perfiles de egreso de estas instituciones. Se considera como fechas claves de este análisis, la promulgación de la Ley de Universidades estatales la que incorpora la importancia del enfoque de género, la inclusión social y la interculturalidad como claves para estas instituciones, junto a ello, el movimiento feminista del año 2018 y del estallido social del año 2019, se constituyen como hitos para comprender los requerimientos actuales y futuros de la sociedad chilena. Se espera contribuir en el conocimiento sustantivo acerca de las actuales demandas de la educación superior chilena, tales como la de una educación no sexista y que contribuya a erradicar todo tipo de discriminación racial.

ABSTRACT

This article develops an interpretive documentary analysis of the Educational Models of sixteen Chilean State Universities, investigating the existence of aspects that contribute to a diverse professional training, non-sexist and anti-racist, allowing to have a common and differentiated view of the fundamentals, generic competencies and graduation profiles of these institutions. It is considered as key dates of this analysis, the promulgation of the Law of State Universities which incorporates the importance of the gender approach, social inclusion and interculturality as keys to these institutions, along with this, the feminist movement of 2018 and the social outbreak of 2019, constitute milestones to understand the current and future requirements of Chilean society. Is expected to contribute to the substantive knowledge about the current demands of Chilean higher education, such as that of a non-sexist education that contributes to eradicating all types of racial discrimination.
